Performance exhaust question
I'm looking at the options for replacing the back box on my 06 325i m sport, eisenmann or performance exhaust?
I've had a quote from Cotswold for the back box but due to the car being an earlier 06 production I may need to replace the centre silencer to make the back box compatible (£640 for the centre silencer alone). So the questions: If I'm looking under the car how can I tell if I need the centre silencer? Is it a different diameter, different shape so they don't align? If I had the back box and took it to an exhaust place for fitting are they likely to be able to fabricate something to join the back box to the existing exhaust without the need for the centre silencer (assuming I need it)? Cheers for your thoughts |

Any decent exhaust place will be able to cut away your back box and weld any thing back in its place, I would recommend some one like Power Flow to sort out your needs. Either remove the rear box and have a straight pipe with a nice tip, or remove the exhaust from the back of the centre silence deleting the centre box and keeping a new rear silencer with a nice tip,,, They should be able to advise either way.
