Anyone have the brake ducts from Hard Motorsport?
So I have a brake ducting kit I put together myself that runs a 2.5 inch hose to the backing plate from a naca duct in the underbody tray. It works really well. But I chew through hose quickly even with just using it on the track.
I saw this piece of kit from Hard and thought it was a very elegant solution, but have not seen anyone running it. http://www.hardmotorsport.com/hard-m...-duct-bmw-e9x/ Anyone have it? Apparently it gets the hoses out of the way of the wheel so you are not grinding on the hose all the time.

I was curious about ducting and using the outlet in the front part of the wheel well. and then running some tubing into an aftermarket backplate. seems as if they only have backplates for M3's so then we can take advantage of these ports. (not the cooler vent)

Not sure if this backing plate (M3) would fit/work on non-M cars. |

that 2nd fab'd back plate looks no bueno in that 1 series thread. was hoping for a plug and play as aforementioned. also it seems like HARD will be releasing a full it. so interested in what that would be composed of.

It was a cost benefit thing for me. I spent $50 and have fully functional brake ducts without any issues. Good enough or me , but I can fully understand how most people wouldn't even consider doing what I did. |

I have riveted flanges on the back of my backing plates. I was looking at the HARD duct (just the part that attaches to the the frame) to keep from killing the hose so quickly.
