Anyone self-install Sirius Radio with Prep Package and NAV?
I've seen a thread about installing Sirius without the prep package, but not one with the prep package. Installing the actual factory radio itself was easy - just attach to bracket and plug in MOST cables and antenna (which is all the prep package is). When I looked at the MOST cable connections under the rear seat backrest, the actual fibre cable configuration does not match either the BMW instruction illustrations or the pictures in another thread, so I don't want to mess with it. Anyone actually do this themselves and have advice about how these cables should be configured? Once that's all done, will anything actually show up in the NAV screen BEFORE I bring it to the dealer for activation? Is it correct that I must bring it to the dealer for activation?
thanks Ron |
