Engine/drive train vibration under light acceleration

Hello, I just purchased a 2008 328xi auto for a daily driver. Ever since I bought it it felt like the car was misfiring under light acceleration between 1500-2500 rpm. No fault codes stored and I just installed 6 brand new OEM plugs and coils and the "misfire" sensation is still there. I've searched for anything relative but nothing really came up. Any ideas?

How are the motor mounts? Collapsed? Many people overlook them but they have a lot to do with the isolation of motor from chassis.

I would think collapsed motor mounts would cause the vibration all the time, this is sort of an intermittent shudder almost.

Not neccesarily, as engine speed increases the engine as a whole will smoothe itself out. But that’s neither here nor there. Take a look and see if they are collapsed .

I’ll check them out tomorrow, I was almost leaning on something towards the converter/clutch packs shuddering.

conrter shudder is a known issue on the 6l45 when the fluid is old and sucks.

new fluid goes a long way towards fizing it.

what you really need to do is get yourself a cable and the bmw tools setup so you can access the cylinder rough running diag and see which cylinder pegs the knock sensor. if they're all even, it's probably not the enging causing it.

also, ESS things sometimes cause rough running.
