Brake fluid coulour
I have just had my brake fluid done, by a new garage, the brakes feel spongey now, and the fluid was changed a couple of weeks ago, and the fluid is now green, should this be the case, i thought it should be clear.
Any advice guys? Quote:

I'm not aware of UK or Australian jurisdiction in complying with FMVSS 116 as known brands sell blue DOT 4 brake fluid in Australia that cannot be sold in the USA. The standard states that DOT 3, DOT 4 and DOT 5.1 for non SBBF is colourless to amber. DOT 5 SBBF is purple. Green is for mineral oil which is not compatible for your system. Perhaps it would be prudent to ask the garage what brake fluid they used. |
