Bronze Apex Arc8 wheels...

I have a set of Bronze Apex Arc8 wheels coming for my e92...

image hosting website free

I see they are called Matte Bronze. I’m wondering if anyone has ever clear coated a set of these? I’m debating leaving them matte or clear coating them.

This is the matte finish off the Apex site:

And here’s a pic of them in stock finish on a e92m3...

Any thoughts on whether to leave them matte or clear coat?

I just placed an order for the arc8 in 18x8.5 et38 in bronze..I have an e92 lci xdrive ...I was worried about rubbing up front considering I'm dropped on kwv1...

I really wanted to go with bronze at 18x9 et30 for that concave look but wasn't sure if that would fit all around without issue ... does anyone know if it would be fine running this setup on my car on 255 35 18 all around? Would I need a spacer up front ? I can change the order as the time haven't arrived

Happy to help. Our 18x9" ET30 wheels have excellent inner clearance and can typically clear most suspensions, including KW. However, in some rare cases 255/35-18 tires do come pretty close to KW suspension, really depending on your tire brand/compound and ride height. Therefore, you may need 3mm or 5mm, but most customers running it spacer-free. Feel free to shoot us a PM or give us a call if you want to dive into more detail on your setup

I added a 10mm spacer to the rear to get a little more flush fitment. I had to get a fender roll and raise my rear camber from -1.3 to -1.7 to make it work with the spacer but I’m loving the results! (So this is square 18x9 et30 with a 10mm spacer on the rear and 255/35 square PS4S tires.)

Looks good, you need a carbon fiber trunk lip spoiler now. Or paint yours black.

Honestly, your drop and fittment of wheels is absolutely perfect. I really like it.

The one variable for me was Im an dropped on KWs which are bit wider than others suspensions. I took the plunge and changed my order from the 18x8.5 et38 to the 18x9 et30. The concave just seems to make the spokes look a little longer which I like.

Now I have been struggling with 235 width tire to clear my suspension or 255. If I get a 255 I likely will go with the narrowest 255 available with likely a 3mm or 5mm spacer. I might also need to raise my car height slightly. But ill take the rims to a local shop to test fit before I buy tires.

Anyone else running the same setup Im proposing on e92 LCI xdrive on KWv1

Thanks. Here’s a better pic to show the fitment of the rear and the concavity of the wheels, which is simply awesome...

I’m running the bmw performance suspension with some front drop perches. So clearing suspension with the tire is a non issue for me the set up has same as clearance on the inside as stock. The downside is zero adjustability hence the front drop perches lol.

Makes sense, in my case I think likely I will need a minimal spacer which Im totally fine with.

Hello sorry for the thread bump but your wheels are stunning. Does anyone know if there is a paint code for these matte bronze wheels?
