Belt issue help!!!

I changed all my pulleys, my harmonic balancer, my tensioner (x2) & my belt (x4). The OFHG has been changed as well so there is no leak. I see that the belt is rubbing on the harmonic balancer & when I move the belt back from the lower idler pulley, it slowly creeps forward touching it. I tried using a stethoscope to hear the lower idler but I don't hear anything that would be concerning. At this point I'm lost for words & it is so frustrating because the car never stops squeaking. It's been an on going situation for the past few months now, took it to a shop & they said my crankshaft is bent, took it to bmw right after & they said the OFHG & the belt & the tensioner needs to be changed. All that has been changed but still squeaks.

What year is your vehicle and what is the part number of the harmonic balancer. I would think that you have the wrong balancer...

Did anyone ever find a solution to this problem? I have the exact same issue, and I don't know how to make the belt stop running on the harmonic balancer.

Sounds like the guy ordered an N54 vibration damper for an N55. Is that what you did also? If so, the solution seems pretty obvious.

Double check your vin on realoem.com and confirm you have the right part for your application.

I have this same problem. As far as I know, the harmonic balancer hasn't been changed. I did add a VTT crankcase catch bolt set before this started happening, but the belt and other pulleys were new at the time.
