Hard shift from 2-3

Hello everyone,

From some back story the car has 200k miles about 5k miles ago I overheated my engine… coolant leak. Mechanic got it back up and running no engine problems. The problem I'm having is shifting from 2-3 there is a hard shift, especially at high rpm's, it's like driving a manual car and dumping the clutch into third. There's a big thud, tire screeches and traction control kicks in.

I'm thinking it could be solenoid since 2-3 is the issues. Or is it time to look into a 435i
