Return Item Number

This is my first return to a vendor and I was wondering how I would get a return item number from the vendor. Does he send me a sticker with the return number on it so I can stick it on to the box, or can he just e-mail the number? The reason why im asking this is because the vendor basically scammed me for my money by false advertisement. Now he will be giving me a return item number, but im afraid it might be another scam. (Gives me a fake return item number and when I return the product and he doesnt reimburse me) Let me know guys!

Typically, you have to contact the vendor and get the number. They can just e-mail the number to you and you have to put the number on the package in a clear visible location.

If your worried about him scamming you, not really sure how to help. Definately keep a copy of the return item number, and any other receipts or papers that had to do with the transaction.
