When I logged JB4 map 5 on 25% e85 I was at about the safe limit of my LPFP and this was prior to installing the 7" intercooler. As much as the power bug has bitten me, I don't think I need anymore power. I spin my wheels too much already (thanks to rubbish tyres). As you mentioned, the thing I would like is a consistent map. Map 2 runs great on 98 only. I just wish I had another static map for E25 mix or so, rather than having to use auto-tuning map 5. To run "flash only" does that mean disabling the JB4 with map 0, or run map 4? (Sorry, I'm still trying to get my head around how the setup between flash and JB4 works. The N54tech post only states how to flash and how to trouble shoot. It doesn't explain how the two (flash + JB4) integrate and how to set them up together.) Thank you for your help so far though! I've learnt a lot from this thread alone. Last edited by Scotty89; 12-31-2014 at 09:16 AM.. |

I received my BT cable on Monday and flashed my car that night using the pump flash.
Lower RPMs are definitely much smoother than JB4 alone, power delivery is so smooth/linear the car feels slower now but I don't think it really is. My car is KLINE so I ran into several issues with Voltage: 0 even with the fuel pump fuse pulled and 15amp intellicharge running as a power supply. My plan is to log pump flash with map 1 & 2 and seek advice before attempting a custom Map 6 and/or E30. |

I'm pretty sure if you toggle between 4-2 and 4-3 that is what changes running jb4 and flash only boost targets.
So if you are on map 1 try it with both these options log and have a look at the target differences. you should see that 4-2 ignores jb4 map 1 boost levels and runs a little more boost about 2psi allround. This example was from over a year ago so im sure the maps would have changed slight but i'm not sure to what extent . |

I tried rebooting the software several times with no luck. Tried unplugging -ve terminal too, tried different laptops, both versions of the software... with both laptops they would give a voltage reading on the very first ID but 0 every time after that... Yes I have changed all CPS and AFR values to 0 as recommended by Terry. Will do logs ASAP |

Did you get the emissions error codes?
Not sure whats up with the laptop connecting set up some have troubles. So you got a pump flash going? Does it still feel slower? I don't really want to get banned saying the program name of a way to flash our cars. Ill just call it a program from now on |

I don't have any error codes atm but I have autoclear on.
Yeah I'm running the pump flash, it felt slower at first but I think I was just expecting too much from the flash. 1st and 2nd gear feel more aggressive from a standing start. 3rd gear doesn't pull as hard as I'd like... |

It's definitely working as I found lower revs very weak prior to flashing.
I haven't played around with 4-2, 4-3 settings I assume you mean menu 4 option 2 in the steering wheel control menu? I'll have to do that tonight! |

Yea, it doesn't really add hp up top just down low and vanos changes around 4500 create a different torque curve.
Glad you can feel it working. Terrys new map 5 hopefully finds a couple extra hp up top for you. I had engine light constantly on from having the US flash so don't stress if it pops up. |

Finally had a chance to do a log, unfortunately the road was a little moist so I kept DTC on which was a good idea because even with it on the tail was squirming around during 3rd gear pulls.
There are some dips in the boost but I think that was due to DTC kicking in. This log is done with Map 2, I wanted to do more logs but couldn't due to weather and traffic conditions... https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B72...ew?usp=sharing CSV file wouldn't upload so check the google drive link. Any feedback? Does it look like I'll be ok running E30 and race flash? |

We need to see LPFP logs to see what the fuel pump is doing. |

Like scotty said check the low, high fp and all the cylinder corrections you can. Ild be keen to see if you can get enough e85 to run map 7.
That has to be pulling a fair bit more then b4 flashing, 5 degrees up to 10 with that boost must be sweet |

DataZap Log 150106_2250
Terry advised I run the new FW on the new Map 5 and relog so here's the log of that on DataZap instead of the Map 2. And yes the car definitely feels like it's pulling hard now. |
