Rear quarter window seal falling apart

As you can see in the picture the seal is slowly falling apart. 2011 328i

I haven't had time to really look though it but I can't find much information in search.

Does anyone know this is a easy fix like cut and just reseal or is it part of the panel I have to take out and replace?

Mine's doing this too! It's on one side, and on a wagon... but still.

Anyone have an answer?

Mine is only happening on one side too. can't fine any information about it. When I look up diagrams it looks like it is apart of the whole trim.
