I believe the differences are changes to Torque request % tables.

D is now great for cruising around the city. Changes up at 2-2.5k if taking it easy (was 1.5k) and will happily rev out if you squeeze the pedal to say 50%.

So i'm leaving the alpina flash in, as im much happier with it now.
wait wat? you're saying the backend flash made the alpina better for you? it didn't make any difference for me and i haven't heard anyone else say this

Changing to BMS back end flash shouldn't make Alpina trans flash better or worse to my knowledge. Changing the load to torque and torque request tables do though.

Backend flash is more than just timing. Torque load request is definitely different, well it is in the latest version of the flash.

Night and day difference. How old is your flash version?

that guy went in and edited his table values in the backend flash to make alpina d mode better for him. you could change the values urself but the backend flash does not come with the values changed to be better for the alpina flash. Unless there was a change in the recent updates on the backend flashes.. my flash was like 6 months old lol

Parts of trebila's flashes have now been included the BMS flash. I believe this might be one of them.

I would suggest flashing to the latest version of the BMS flash if yours is 6 months old. Seems to have been some good developments since then.

Is it still only the Bav Tech cable that can flash?

I don't want to spend $175 on their stupid cable.

Yeh only the BT. I figured i'd probably end up paying someone that much to do it anyway so just bought it. Ended up over 200 posted and the shit exchange rate.

You can borrow mine if you promise to bring it back.

I flashed my transmission with another Alpina B3 code 7603537 and in M mode its a lot smoother going for a drive today to see if D drive is better and higher revs.
