PreLci radio dying ?
Hey there been creeping on the forums and has been a lot of help , and now I need to ask some help of my own. I have a 2006 325xi, and recently the radio just starts to jump from aux to cd, which is odd because it won’t even let me select cd as there isn’t one in the slot. I have the professional radio with the logic 7 sound, if anyone knows if it’s on its way out and need a replacement or anything else related it would be appreciated. thanks

You can get them on ebay pretty cheap you do need
to program them for your options including the fact you have Logic 7. Some of the newer versions have built in USB and Bluetooth but they tend to cost more. And the programming is more tricky on those since they weren't available in that year. By the way this forum has many sub forums including a stereo sub forum. http://www.e90post.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=27 http://www.e90post.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=16 http://www.e90post.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=378 |

I put a 2011 LCI radio in my 2006 and it worked great once programmed. I recently did an i-drive retrofit so that same radio is now for sale.

If that radio is programmed for L7 it would help the OP
out a lot as getting that done is the major gotcha for most people. Looks like that one has built in Sirius. The newer ones come with different options that are built in like HD Radio standard and USB , Bluetooth phone , and Satellite Radio which use to be seperate modules and actually is for most E9x's http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=687463 You might want one of these as an easy way to get streaming bluetooth and usb or phone if you don't have it. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Bluetooth-A...NYyQ-s&vxp=mtr Last edited by ctuna; 01-22-2019 at 02:02 PM.. |

Where you able to code that radio with a K/D can cable?
I heard that you needed an Icom for Most Bus stuff after the 3/07 build but was never sure how putting post 3/07 stuff worked in a pre 3//07 car. |

Pretty sure it can work but it would be easier if it was
already programmed. Otherwise you will have to set yourself up with Inpa suite for diags and programming which is a good idea anyway. See bimmergeeks.net for cable and downloads. |

I was eventually planning on getting that set up but this might just push it a bit sooner, which isn't the worst. So you think I can get the Logic 7 and MOST bus going with just the cable?

The reason I ended up with this radio is I wanted to retrofit a MULF2 HI and the 06 radio software did not support MULF and there was no update available. |
