M3 replicas or my 230's?
Hey guys,
For a long time now I've been infatuated with the M3 wheels because I believe they go perfect with my cars current trimming. However, I currently use my 19" 230's which I LOVE, but just feel that the M3's fit more my style. Do you guys think I should try and sell my rims to get replica M3's, or it's not worth it. Also, what staggered set-up should I get so that I don't rub? I want to drop it with Ebachi springs and FSD shocks in the summer. I'd be running the rims with a nice tire. Any suggestions on the wheel size with the replicas? They come in all sorts of widths.... |

I know, when the guy told me "replicas" I cringed a bit, but the price is great. Got quoted $2350+tax for staggered set of 269 M3's (straight ten spoke with turned edges) with Michelin PSS's installed.
Then again he had another set of the OEM E46 M3 (straight ten spoke with no turn edge) wheels with staggered Falken set-up for $2650 + tax installed. I really like the turn edge style though, but they would have to be replicas as they're too hard to find for a good price. |

I like the M3's enough that I'd get rid of my 230's anyways. I'll need the money to get the M3 rims anyways, not rich lol!!
Only thing I need to worry about is the offsets. From what I understand the best is to run staggered so 19"x8.5 front and 19"x9.5 rear. I don't understand anything about ET stuff though. I'm gonna be dropping the car with Ebachi/FSD shock kit right after so I don't want to rub. Just want a nice small tuck look. I'll also be fitting the rims with Michelin SS's do that has to be taken into consideration. |
