BMW 335 to Audi A6

Been a great 4 years on the forums, but I recently sold my 335 and got into a 13' A6. Definitely a different experience. Hope to be back in a BMW one day.

Hope to stick around the boards - met lots of great members over the years!

a6 are nice cars, just get rid of it before the warranty is up... having that issue with ours. things just start to go wrong with electronics just after warranty.. maybe we just got a bad one.

Newer A6's have many awards for reliability. What year is yours?

I just went from a 335 to a S4. Outside of the fact the Audi "feels" bigger, I love it. It's nice to start my car up in the garage and not hear a ticking symphony! Interior in Audi is so much nicer.

ours is a 2010. one of our neighbours has a 2013 a7 and they have had some electrical problems too (LEDs not working at times. speaker amplifier issues). while in warranty, Audi was pretty good with fixing what was needed but the bills add up to quite a bit after warranty is over.

O wow eh. We had a 2007 A6. It was pretty good, had two issues over 3 years. We have two Audis at home now and they seem pretty good so far.

This is a 13' - Warranty wise, still 2 years left. I didn't get extended for my 335 and in 2 years, had 0 warranty related issues, so I'm hoping for the same here.

3.0T? Definitely a great car, I miss sitting in one. Depending on how reliable they turn out to be I might trade in my 335i for one and flash it.

Yep - Heard a lot of great things about APR. Going to keep it stock for now, but might eventually flash it.

Had one of these as a loaner while my moms Q5 was in (leaky injector f-ed up the block, otherwise problem free 75k miles in).

Looks nice and drives nice.. loads of toys. Not sure how I feel about interior aesthetics, though materials and ergonomics are good. 3.0T definitely felt more responsive and linear than my N54

I may be doing the same soon. My father-in-law's lease is up in august and he offered to buy out his car and sell it to me. He has a 2013 Black A6 S-Line with all the options.

Despite how often I've had to bring the car in for mainly piddly little things, I haven't actually spent much of my own money (thank you, extended maintenance and extended warranty), and my 3 series has always been an incredible joy to drive... so long as I avoided the rough roads in Los Angeles.

Gotta give the interior to Audi, I think much better fit and finish than BMW, def an upgrade on my 10' 335. I wish they had the S6 diamond stiched seats in the A6. Those are nice.

Rough roads here in DC/VA area also. Dropping the BMW turned out to be a pain. Always being paranoid driving around not to mention the stiff stiff ride was annoying. You won't be disappointed if you switch!

My last car was the '04 S4. There is no space under the hood to add anything.

but all you need to do is drop it into sport mode to have some fun; just not racetrack fun

That is a nice car, but here in Europe the company car culture has killed Audi. I see an Audi, I think 'on his way to his next meeting'. Such a shame, cos they are nice cars.

Watch out for electrical issues suffered by all VAG cars. Even the little 1600 A3 my wife's sister had was eventually beyond economical repair due to the electrical stuff at about 110,000 miles. The rest of the car could have done a lot more.
