So I jacked up the rears to 38 and it stabilized somewhat, but overall the car still doesn't feel as good as it used to. I don't know if I'm simply pushing my car more than before, or my tires are heat cycled out. Should I try to use these for the Nov DE coming up or new tires? I'd hate to throw them out cuz they have decent tread left still...

Another question is, how important/effective is heat cycling new R-comps like TR does? I'm highly considering NT01s next.
If you're going to get a more extreme tire, just get BFG R1. No heat cycling needed and the grip doesn't ever end during the entire session. Not as progressive as street tires where they'll just let go (as CJ421).

That was the first time that I was getting consistently lapped by a whole pack in the advanced group, quite an eye opener. Got my lap time down by 2 secs that day and yet that's not what was in my mind on the way home...
WOW! I can't imagine how much you were giving point-byes at Lime Rock. I was in the intermediate group because I was never there and didn't need my rear view mirror the entire day. I was only there one day and ended up running a 1:06 with my car.
When I ran with PCA it was on Thunderbolt so the track was a bit longer and I had only a couple packs of cars come up on my once during a session. It was much better than I thought it would be. I was sitting on the starting grid and looked at all the cars and said to myself "my car is the slowest here!" It wasn't bad at all. I really slowed to let the packs get by me all at once. The tower was really happy with my driving style and I never messed anyone up. That was my second time out this year and I ended up running a 1:38, so not too bad with about 285hp.

Will/Dan - in case you didn't get the email, Provost Motorsports is doing free tech for the Nov 3-4 event tonight at 6-9 pm. Drinks and food there too apparently.

---

I had work done yesterday at VAC ... minor suspension work and a new alignment plus the custom brake ducting w/ hoses and everything which looks like real race car.

Thanks for the heads up but unfortunately they're a bit far from me. CJ, your car never gets rest lol. Pics of the brake ducting?

Really awesome stuff, front dam is so oem looking... Did you ever have fade issues this past year?

I was thinking of using the same cf 2 piece backing plates but not sure where to find the right dam/scoop piece. Pegasus racing has decent selection of stuff...

The front is totally OEM, no modifications were made; that scoop you see on the outside is stock on this car. It's ducted to the wheel well but isn't pointed at anything. Hose is routed from that now.

I have been cooking my brakes last couple events with the R comps. So far I've been OK adapting my braking but I shouldn't have to do that anymore.

Sweet- I wish they made a similar product using a less exotic/pricey material.

That's crazy that it doesn't rub. It looks so damn close to the wheel, especially with big R comps.

I turned the wheel in increments and got out of the car to check, it doesn't rub until 3/4 full lock or so. It's jinked just right to avoid that.

Street, OEM 19" rims and 235/35 Pilot Super Sports. Track, OZ Racing Alleggerita HLT 18x9 w/ BFG R1 245/40. I'm not sure of the offset on the OZ's but they fit fine with a 10mm spacer all around.

What iPhone mount do you use? Guessing you don't have any trouble with it falling off?
