It was put to me on the bimmerfest site that there is no advantage, with that in mind I purchased the vrsf intake charge pipe with the standard original set up, I'm wondering if I have made the best choice ?

The original valves will leak, trust me.

I did the exact same thing, and it was a mistake. I probably shaved a few years life off my turbos flogging them day after day while they spun around furiously charging air back into the atmosphere for no gain at all...

I'll order another with the aftermarket BOV, dont want to wreck the new hi flow turbos. Or alternatively it is probably cheaper to get a set of forge diverter valves

I would guess there would be little difference to performance over the 2, and one will attract a lot less attention
