Might give some insight into what cylinder(s) might be having a problem...
Injectors have been tested by this method! They are OK.

The boost leak is well documented, search red boost hose. Seals cost about £7 each, no need to spend £200 on the whole hose
Oil misting on high pressure side is also well documented neither IMHO will be causing your problem.
Is this smoke at start up when cold or when at running temps? You have checked your coolant temps are around 90 Deg c. (not sure what that is in F)

Have you had your injectors checked out of the car for spray pattern and flow?

Have your egr cooler pressure checked ! They crack and let water into charged air line. Gives impression of head gasket failure. Smoke Only happens on idle because this is where coolant system pressure overcomes charged air pressure . The rest of the time driving the system is under charged air pressure which cancels out the coolant water pressure

Also explains why coolant level goes down a little but no drips ..again impression of head gasket failure.

I can now confirm that this was indeed the issue I was having and have resolved it by removing the EGR cooler. The cooler itself had cracked internally and was putting coolant into the charged air line. It would only smoke on idle due to the coolant pressure overcoming the charged air pressure , when the car was under load the smoke would disappear.

Crap on exhaust is because I have a DPF bypass pipe & remap

below is a video of my car showing the symptoms.

What is the part number or cost of the EGR cooler. I looked for it on realoem but could only find the hose that connects it to the cooling system.

I'd say ! Fluked the diagnosis to be honest

My indie had previously pressure tested the coolant system and could not see a leak anywhere , next step was to send my injectors off to be tested which meant inlet manifold off ( this turned out to be the reason why we solved it). I just turned up one afternoon to see what was going on and borrowed his pressure test kit to have another go myself, as i had my head buried down the front of the engine / radiator I could hear a gurgling noise coming from inside the silver egr cooler pipe. As the pipe was disconnected at the manifold end , the gurgling noise was being amplified . This made diagnosis easier and explained all the symptoms .

My indie has completely removed the whole EGR assembly to test if it cured , which it has.

My car doesn't need the EGR system as it's been mapped out but the temperatures are now not controlling very well so I've sourced 2 used coolers for £15 each (oddly enough one is from an E46 320d which uses the same parts). Hopefully when they are fitted we'll see better temperature control

Small update , .. the white smoke is back .. appeared after some spirited driving .

EGR Cooler number 2 is cracked also , seems these things cannot take big power. Number 3 cooler is installed .. lets see how long this one lasts
