Ind replacement start button

I replaced my start button with one from IND - I like it, until my friends joked looked like the "thst was easy" button lol jerks..

I will work on the stock button offline - I'm just not feeling that carbon fiber stick on ring , I'd rather try to repaint the black ring again and install a red push button

That cf stick on ring is so ugly. Going to take it apart one day and wrap it gloss black, pretty simple to separate the pieces I think. I have a red button but thinking about getting a blue one.

My wife said the same thing about mine

If it makes you feel better, the F90 M5 also has a red button

F90 one has a smaller bezel though. I'd buy that if it actually would fit (bottom block...arghhh) and just simply replace it back with the black button.

The peeling black part is actually very easy to separate as you guys suspected. I was able to vinyl wrap black easily but paint should be even easier. Just be careful because the plastic tabs are very brittle.

I went with a polar blue button to match my steering wheel stripe and shift paddle inserts.

I have the old
Button all taken part , and a red button for it - I just need to figure out how to re paint the peeling part
Black again- the stock button is best looking and replacing the button to red looks best -

I can then decide to sell the ind button or the stock button -

I just purchased a blue one from this seller yesterday. I'm sure they're all the same. I just pick a seller with a lot of feedback so I know they'll take care of me if there is a problem with the button not matching their listing or whatever it may be.

If anybody pays more than $8 on eBay for these buttons you deserve to get ripped off. 🤣🤣🤣 They legit come from the same supplier. In the same little "dime bag"

I'm not crazy about the red one with silver ring around it anymore guys- I got some black model paint and going to try to paint the peeling stock inner ring plastic and use original-

The red /silver ring I bought was 130 bucks! And it's pretty huge silver ring and all I can think about is the easy button after my friends said it lol looks like a clown button

Because the ones on Amazon and eBay are hot garbage with tabs that break the second you look at them sideways. The IND version is of infinitely better construction.

Lol. Considering I've had my eBay one for over a year now. And daily driving my car. Pushing that button plenty often. I'm quite happy with the $5 I spent on it. Zero discoloration. And feels just like the original.

There's a sucker willing to pay more every minute.

I guess I just got one from a bad batch. Mine from eBay truly was of horrible quality.

The very first runs of these eBay buttons were questionable... I will admit. I saw lots of Facebook/forum posts complain about the quality.

I wanted a coupl months after they came out. And figured for (I believe it was $7 at the time). Why the hell not?

Mines been great ever since!! And I've actually sent people the link to my same one. They liked it so much.

I took the oem button apart, sanded the peeling black off, and repainted it and it looks like new. Easy to do.

True, it it's about how long that it lasts. I have two I rotate annually as it wears.

I've been meaning to experiment with clear coats to help keep it more solid but haven't got to it. What did you use?

I painted mine about two years ago, still looks good. I just used some matte black paint I had laying around.
