Is this a good buy?

I just want to know if I’m flushing my money down the toilet. I’m just looking for a fun commuter that will be relatively cheap. Any input is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I wouldn't expect a 335i with 200k+ to be a reliable commuter. Car looks like it was taken care of from the pics but that doesn't tell the whole story. These cars can be quite expensive to maintain, especially at over 200k with unknown past.

My suggestion is to get something cheap and efficient for your commuter and if you really want a 335i find one with lower miles / service records. And educate yourself on what it takes to have one in upkeep.

All cars are flushing money down the toilet

If the turbos check out, your next big things will be suspension and oil leaks. Honestly if you buy it for $5k and put, say, $1k-$2k in DIY repairs you probably can have something relatively reliable and enjoyable. There will probably still be lots of nuisance things broken though.

I'd consider that more if a "drive it into the ground" car.

Thanks for the input! I figured the turbos would be kind of an issue but I, unfortunately, will probably get a civic..
