Wonderful Foods
2035 Irving St San Francisco, CA 94122 4.5 stars / 5 based on 137 reviews on Yelp http://www.yelp.com/biz/xji2vmCj8kqs...derful%20foods This is where you go for REAL tapioca. You can actually taste the "tea" portion of the drink. This is where their old location was until Quickly's moved in next door and offered their "80 cent" Milk Tea Grand Opening Special. They've then moved a block over, business still good because local's know this is the best tap place in the city. Eggettes Neighborhood: Outer Sunset 3136 Noriega St (between 38th Ave & 39th Ave) San Francisco, CA 94122 4 stars / 5 based on 55 reviews on Yelp Sister used to work here, they use a lot of sugar but other than that still tops Quicklys, Tap X, all those other generic boba places. Verde Tea Espresso Bar 852 Villa St Mountain View, CA 94041 4.5 stars / 5 based on 84 reviews on Yelp Friends took me here last weekend, and you can get a HUGE boba nae cha "Milk Tea" for only $2.75!!! Line was out the door, had non-stop flow of customers. Only $2.75 + Great Tasting = FTW

Adding to my list:
Bubble Zone Neighborhood: Inner Richmond 1115 Clement Street (between 12th Ave & Funston Ave) San Francisco, CA 94118 4.5 stars / 5 out of 44 reviews on Yelp Used to chill here on late nights, on Clement & good spot to kick it. Tap was pretty good too. Creations Dessert House Neighborhood: Outer Richmond 5217 Geary Boulevard (between 16th Ave & 17th Ave) San Francisco, CA 94118 3.5 stars / 5 out of 114 reviews on Yelp I wouldn't say this is the BEST place for tapioca, but definately coo to kick it & enjoy other desert's. They have a wide variety of everything here. CHINATOWN SF Forgot Name & Location (Near Rainbow Station in CT) There's this one place on Grant street between I would say...Jackson & Pacific, really good food & tapioca. Inexpensive & can request back rooms if you have large group of friends with you. Owner is really cool, let's you do whatever back there, drink, smoke, w/e. Ice House 1311 Noriega St San Francisco Between 20 & 21st Ave (Next to Cafe Bakery & Orange Land Cellular) Recently closed down for construction but heard it will re-open soon. That whole block of restaurants (Cafe Bakery, Wonton House, Ice House, Thai Place) is owned by the lady who runs Cafe Bakery. BALLER.

i'm not a big fan of tap-x, q-cup, and quickly's. all their stuff tastes too powdery and/or sweet.
my vote goes to fantasia (found in the south bay). ten ren is good too.
