DIY: Fix broken Vent Tabs BMW E90
If your vent tabs are broken, don't replace the entire vent, which is what the dealer would do at a great expense.

I simply removed the vent, placed the original clip back in place, held the 'leg' piece in place and where the edges are (where it breaks) I just "welded" it together using a heated dental spatula - the tip of a tiny screwdriver would work as well.
Good as new. |

Bought a few of these and they worked like a charm. First few uses, the vent tabs slid laterally back and forth with more resistance than I expected. However, after a couple days of sliding them back and forth, it has the feel of the original tabs. Look is spot on.
