KW V1 or HR coilovers?
Well i need to make a choice asap cause driving a tank for a bmw is not working lol. Feels like im driving daddy's car. What one of these goes lower in the front? I would like it do have a fair amount of rake, be slightly tucking tire up front. I dont wanna come up short with not being to lower the front low enough when i want to. Lets hear some opinions. Car is 09 Xdrive coupe.

They both have same drop. KW is smoother. I would go H&R if I was deciding between these as I like it stiffer.
Are u gonna track car at all?? Go TC Kline like I went. For a bit more $$ u get better product. My buddy with KW got so jealous when he drove my car...

I may be incorrect, but I think I recall reading that the H&R coilovers can drop lower than KW V1s.
Correct me if I'm wrong and substantiate correction with links or supporting (credible) documentation, thanks |

My buddy's car with KW is slammed to floor u won't believe your eyes. So dont look at what the companies drop specs are.....
Now I don't suggest u do that. My TC Klines (new model) can also be slammed like that as I had it done for 1 day. But I hate it too low. Just looks good. Ruins handling of car and annoying to drive....

Will never track the car, and dont wanna spend anymore then 1350 that i would get kw's for. Esp since i usually dont even keep a car for more then a year. I thought i seen a pic of a HR'd car with the fronts all the way down and it was definatly dropped but still was barely barely about to tuck tire.
I have been quoted 1350 shipped for KW V1's, anyone know of a cheaper place to get them then that? HR does not adjust stiffness either right? |

FYI the end result will most likely be lowered to about the same as the Tein S springs. They are the only springs ive seen that the front sat just a tad bit lower then the rear. All other springs are reverse raked and it looks stupid as $hit.
I was considering trying Tein S springs (but having a hard time figuring out how they would fit on xi) and Bilstein shocks. But i'd hate to be into springs and struts almost a grand and then not be happy with the look lol. |
