Ok, if you have read my previous post you would know but I will ask directly: tell me what would happen if wheel balancing weight gets dislodged and gets stuck in there. Or some road debris? I have done some "unsafe" modes in the past but will never shave a caliper in order to clear the wheel.

are 340mm worth it over stock 335i's is the 8mm rotor surface diff a downgrade besides for looks or is it worth it to look for a 370mm kit?

also from what i read no m3 MC needed for only a front 340mm swap but would it improve braking?

asking bc just scored some 34116850931 34116850932 f30 calipers for my 335i and wanting to see if i should resell them and get a 370mm kit

Thanks

It's an upgrade. No M3 MC needed.

I couldn't see my specific model mentioned anywhere in the thread, so here it is for anyone who might be wondering - I've just put the front 340mm F2x F3x Brembo setup on my 2006 E90 325i, and to my relief it did indeed bolt straight on, no modifications or coding required. Thanks to everyone who contributed further up the thread that gave me the confidence to take the plunge and go for it!

Sorry for the 2 year old reply, but what did you need to make the rears work? From my quick search so far, the 340mm fronts seem to bolt up without issue... The rears, not so much. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Nice! Any installed pics? I just piked up the 340 setup and I'm going to throw it on soon. Just need to buy rotors and pads.

Did you also buy the dust shields or modify your stock ones?

Hello my Rear calipers are looking old and rusty on my 2011 e90 335d. At this point my bleeding nipple stripped and won’t come off on one of them. The look like ass. I wanna replace just the rear calipers keep stock e90 rear rotors. I found some nice F30 calipers in like new condition for cheap!! Cheaper then the factory stocker single piston ones. Will I be able to mount the rear Brembo M-sport F30 calipers directly on my e90?

There are about 4 different ways to make them work and none are a direct bolt up.

I had the mating face of the caliper machined, then opened up the holes on the knuckle to mount them up.

There is an eccentric bushing fix that also works.

You can change out the hubs.

I don't remember the exact machining I had done since it was about 3 or 4 years ago and I guess not long after this thread started.

It’s so much work I’ve decided to take a more cost-efficient approach by replacing the rear calipers with refurbished calipers in the rear, have them powder coated and use the F30 Brembo fronts because they just mount up which is nice.
