Malone VS JR for Tuning

I've noticed many people use JR for 335D delete tuning. Why does no one use Malone? They were great with my TDI's

Malone also offers non DDE removal tuning through OBD port, which to my knowledge JR does not. Maybe the other guys do.

Just curious why Malone seems to be non existent here, they have been great with questions on the TDI stuff.

Thx!

According to the polls on the Facebook page, Malone is just behind jr with the m57 crowd in popularity. Im running their 2.9 tune and absolutely love it. The OBD flash from home was really nice too. The facebook pages are alot more active than the forums these days.

I could be wrong but I always assumed it was because the JR tune was one of the first tunes to be offered for the 335D. Those who get to the market first with a quality product have an easier time keeping market share.

I see. I think I love idea of flash in car i have enough work on the car already. Don’t really wanna touch ecu.

Just got a 335d with 140k (mostly Highway) from a buddy I plan to improve . It runs great no issues except emission related we fixed couple DEF codes with resistors lol.

Vaguely? It's been a while since I did my research on available tune's so I'm a little hazy on the details.

I hope the resistor fixes are temporary. Fooling the system into thinking its getting a correct reading could cause issues down the line (wither with the system you tricked or other systems that depend on the one you tricked). I think most people overlook this aspect and dont consider that many of the sensors/systems/components/etc on modern cars work in conjunction with each other.

Are you planning on getting a tune and eliminating the emissions components all together?

And now I'm curious haha If I'm reading between the lines correctly, they didnt deliver on the quality aspect of the tune?

Yeah....def stay away from Ecotune. Although they MAY be better now....too many other options to even risk it. BRR tuning is a nice alternative...PM me if your interested. Quite a bit cheaper than other options.
