This belongs to one of my neighbors. He bought it new in 07 and never waxed it in the trhee years he's had it.
He otherwise does keep it clean but as you can tell from the before pics what a black car will look like after 3 years of improper cleaning.
It sits in his driveway day and night because of his Vette that he keeps in the garage so doing a full correction would have been pointless.
Still, i think the most of the imperfections were removed.
I only used a swirl remover on a 3M white pad followed finishing polish on a black pad. I topped it with Pinnacle Signature II wax.

Nice work! Looks awesome.

How'd you find the hardness of the paint? Was it hard, medium or soft? I ask because I've had variations in GM paints.

At first it seemed pretty hard but i just had to be a little more aggressive with the S/R to correct it sufficiently.
I almost stepped up to a compound at first but then by being a little more patient the two polishes were enough.

Great work! It was pretty hammered, looks like 3 years of weekly tunnel washes to me. End result looks fantastic!

Thanks. Sounds like a pro approach, i.e. "tweak" the method instead of just blindly grabbing a "compound". Again, you're results look phenomenal.

I have a tunnel washed 09 black Tahoe later this morning.
