Front splitter....paint or no paint????

So....replacing my lower splitter which cracked and was painted. Going with a better fitting one and some splitter rods to hold the middle from sagging.

Question is should I paint it again??? The other one held up well but when it cracked it spidered and chipped the paint. It’s an eBay polyurethane splitter that came in a black satin finish. Should I paint again or just seal it with a clear coat to protect it from fading? I would do painting or sealing myself.

Anyone deal with similar situation? Any input is appreciated.

Photos would help tremendously. In the interim, a link to the splitter options you chose, along with the color of the car would help.
