Question Vaccuum Hose Broken on top of engine Nearest Drivers Side

Hello,
Last Night I noticed a "Small" Vacuum hose broken on my 2008 335i N54.

(From trying to do some research I believe its a Vacuum Hose )

Can someone tell me what "Hose" it is and How to repair

Please see attachment files for 3 Pictures

Here I will Explain briefly each pic

Pic 1

There is a what I describe as a "T" coming off the Vacuum Hose and its a small hose broken leading to near the Drivers Side inner Fender

Pic 2

I tried to zoom out where you can see the Vacuum Line
the "Arrow" is pointing at the small broken hose coming off the "T" from Vacuum hose "Circled"

pic 3

shows the "T" and the broken hose leading into a taped section running along Drivers Side Fender Well.

Thanks in Regards for Help

Take the hose in your right hand and the T adapter in your left hand. Now push the hose onto the T.
Pat your self on the back and drink a beer. The job is done.

Thank You ! for reply

But its not just pulled out its broke off ...so I'm guessing pull the small broke piece out of the "T" and then push the hose into the "T" and maybe electrical tape it a bit ?

and Yes a small victory deserves 1 Beer

Thanks Again

If the hose is shot which all of them will be eventually and need to be replaced. You can find high temp vacuum lines like these ones to replace them all.
I think I bought 6 or 8 feet. https://www.verociousmotorsports.com...cuum-Hose-Kits

But to fix it in the time being, just pull the old one off and push the hose onto the T. It should hold, no tape needed. You could zip tie it if it does not hold.

I believe its for the rear exhaust flap, if you have the flap unplugged in the trunk or aftermarket exhaust without, just put a cap on the plastic vacuum line, where the barb is and tuck the rubber line away. But you should be able to take a razor knife over the broken hose and pull it off and slide the rest of the hose onto the barb. If the fitting itselt isnt broken.

Broken Vacuum Hose

NoGuru
DCook

I looked at this over the weekend and I do not believe its as easy as just pulling out the broken piece from "T" ( Its a Plastic Piece the "T" is )
and the piece leading near the fender is Rubber so I'm not really sure what to do at this point... I will try to Illustrate further... (Close up Pic attached)

The "Male In coming from the tube is "Plastic" and the female end (Seen Broken Off ) Is Rubber..... It Seems to have Broke right at the point of the plastic male piece and the rubber female end (again the broken piece)

plus the 2 sides that attach the "T" of the main Hose is All 1 plastic piece it seems

Hope that makes sense ... any further suggestions ?

Try and locate the part here and it might be easier for us to figure out what needs to be done.

Unfortunately this particular hose and its connection to the "T" is not illustrated on realoem.

That particular hose is the one that goes back to the flap on the exhaust.

OP cut the hose that is left over on the "T" and plug back the disconnected hose. Seems like you'll have more than enough left to reach it.

If it were me i would just glue the bottom of the "T" shut and tuck away the hose. That is if you want a exhaust flap delete.

Ok guys I was able to "Carefully" take pliers and pull the Rubber end off the male "plastic" part of the "T" It fit so snug that I thought initially the rubber end was plastic.. Either way again I carefully took pliers and twisted the broke rubber and then was able to clamp down and gently pull it off "T" coming off main Vacuum Line and then as the previous post firmly slide the broken rubber end onto the plastic male end of the "T"

Thanks for everyones' Help See Pics Below

Pic 1 is the "Broken Rubber" Piece pulled of Plastic "T"

Pic 2 slid the broken rubber piece back onto Plastic "T"

Thanks Again Guys
