Any particular reason for going with 19" over 18" wheels? I'm looking at possibly getting some V710s and am debating between the two sizes due to cost differences between rims and tires.

Not really. It's more or less personal preference. 18 inch wheels have more rubber to cover the wheel. 19 inch is more for looks, but in my opinion 18 inch wheel can look equally good as 19 inch. The width of the wheel and offset are also quite important to make the wheel look good.

i have 18in VB3s on my LCI. just be weary of the finish. I have crazy flaking on one wheel for Hyperblack. Unfortuantely it happened after the 1 year warranty. It's like each layer did not stick to each other.
IMO, 18s for e90/1, 19s for e92/3

I'm also interested in the v710 or the v701. Do you all think one is better than the other? And as my car is black I am not sure of color quiet yet. I think hyper silver stands out too much.

Contrast is a good thing, in my opinion. Silver wheels on a black car will look awesome!

I jus ordered the same set up. Do you have any tips or recommend any products to protect the finish? Did you put some spacers on with these wheels? I was thinking 10mm for the rear and I'm not sure about the front. I haven't measured the gap yet but any input would be appreciated.

I actually like the VB3 design as it looks like there is a lip when the wheels are in motion. All personal preferences though. |
