kombi report me a fault, saying that 1D0 botschaft is missing, i will code to do not show fault when ID is missing, and now kombi will get only my own messages

So you need to code DDE as well as Cluster?
No.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong....

psy460's method is to use a piggyback type CAN device to send temperature over the byte 2 of 0x1D0 message.

He then disabled the hard coded 0xFF which DDE sends to byte 2 of 0x1D0 in the frame manager.

Because of this he got some fault code from KOMBI as byte 2 is now missing. He disabled the fault code and all is well.

This is more than just coding....

Just wanted to confirm that this worked on my 2009 E90 328i with the l/100km gauge. I set it to read 0, 50, 100, 150, 200 C to match the 10 and 20 labels. Make sure you execute jobs “steuergeraete_reset” and “uhrzeit_datum_tellen” at the end, otherwise the gauge won't work at all.

Here are the hex values I used:
Code:
Temp	Dec	Hex
0	48	30
50	98	62
100	148	94
150	198	C6
200	248	F8
Here is the gauge reading 45C as per INPA (status>analog>MWB6):

Still my favourite mod, right next to the heated steering wheel.

The value of a free oil temp gauge is priceless.

No, it won't work. You'll need to redirect cab messages and then perform adjustments in the DDE.

I have some friend that have the hardwer to read and write on DDE.
Please, can you tell me which steps they have to do to "perform aadjustments in the DDE"?

And how can i redirect cab messages?

335d 2010 UK spec. anybody know if oil temp gague works, i activated using toolkit but that just gave a fixed reading, a false one... i checked it with carly, and it was just a fixed 80 or 90c... on a cold start. same with my mates 335 08 plate.

or do i still need to do this bin coding to make it work? and toolkit dose it for I cars only, as they seem to be set up for both form factory.

would be nice to know as am geting my custom dials re-printed as mine had an issue with them, and i orginally wanted oil temp but couldent ever get it working, i assumed it was only able to do on e60 or a USA car.

Vector CANoe. But that alone won't decode the messages. You'll still need the CAN database which I don't think you can buy anywhere.

Hi all,
I just registered to this forum and I would like to ask you for some advice with coding oil temp instead of mpg gauge.
I did everything from the guide. I tried to use value 50-75-100-125-150 and 0-50-100-150-200.
When oil is warm and temperature is roughly 100 celsius then indicator on gauge shows me value 7 not 10.
Do you have any idea why indicator shows me that value?
I tried to use perfekt tool box and result is same.
My car is e90 330i 2005.

Many thanks!
