Recommendation for a Company to remote code a CIC Retrofit

Hello,

I have a 06/2008 E60 with $609 and I have sourced a CIC, CID and controller out of a 03/2009 E60 from a wrecking yard, the donor car has all the same multimedia options as my own according to the build sheet. I have a local company checking its operation and coding it to my VIN but they are advising me that once fitted to my car I won't be able to update the map because the car will recognise that the CIC isn't from it.

Looking online at the companies selling they state they they sell their kits coded for the VIN it is going in to, and then further coding is required remotely but I am not sure what this is for.

So my questions are:
1) can anybody recommend me a company that can remote code as I am in Australia.
2) is it possible to code it so that I can update the maps in the future?
3) I would like the company to change my VO in the KOMBI so the production date is 03/2009 as this will mean that if the car goes on to a BMW dealer's computer they can do future diagnosis/coding for a CIC car and also get the integration level back in order.

I hope someone can help.

Not likely that BMW will do anything that is off the Books like changing
the date and letting you do the . They won't do anything out of spec
and off the configuration of stock cars.

Bimmertech did remote coding.
Don't know if they will do it half way around the world.
The bigger city's in the US have coding company's .
I would think there would be something similar in Australia.

I am wondering what the remote coding was for I'd the units are coded on a bench out of the car.

Remote coding probably will not help you. CIC will need to be patched to reflect your car’s VIN thus enabling maps and speech. This patch will need to have specific firmware and will need to be flashed with icom unit. There are other methods to unlock these features as a CAN filter which just tricks the CIC of the vin.

Remote coding will help with 3 but the dealership software will notice the change. Changing just VO date will have its little issues. This might not be an issue as there aren’t much to update a 06MY car.

So what are my options here to make this retrofit work and still allow the car to be codable within the BMW dealership network in case of the need to replace failed modules.

There are people on here that have done the reprogramming and done FSC
codes to .

It requires more than standard tools to do fsc codes .
Search FSC codes here.

https://www.e90post.com/forums/showt...&highlight=FSC

Also there is and idrive subforum here that may have more to say on the subject.

Or talk to these guys.

I use AlpineMSS for my coding. He should be able to handle it no problem.
