Don't bother with torrents anymore, just get a 3 days Premium account with Rapidshare for 4,50 EUR and you get your DVD in a few minutes, you get up to 4-5/MBs from their co-located servers worldwide

If I post the complete links here, I'm 99% sure that at least one user will report them as not quite legal to rapidshare and the mighty Google will index this pages with the links in them (not good as well).
Thats why the links have been protected and the end-user who'll get the disc won't be able ever to see the complete link. This way files are hosted for months instead of hours how usually it happens when at least one file is reported as forbidden. It's your choice. |

I downloaded the torrent and have the 4.34GB file but it appears it did not download the file extension. Right now it just lists "BMWNav_20081". Can someone tell me what it is so I can open it etc.
Thanks. |

well - I went to the beginning of the thread and started reading again so it appears I should just need to put ".iso" at the end of the filename and burn it to DVD.

If it's truly an ISO file then that should work. Nero (If you have it) has a utility called ImageDrive. If you append .ISO to that file and mount it via ImageDrive it should show up as a disc drive which means it worked. There are other ISO mounting utilities you can download for free, just google for them. If that doesn't work then try appending .zip or .rar and see if it's an archived file.
Otherwise I don't know what to tell you. |

I receive an error when I try to extract the (45) files: "No archives found...The archive is either in unknown format or damaged." Have you seen this? Am I missing a step somewhere? |

Thanks to all the seeders.
Does this DVD work with 2005 X3 NAV? I tried burning using Alcohol at 2.4x speed in Verbatim +R, and I got "Insert the right CD/DVD error". Anyone got any ideas? Thanks! Last edited by brainguy; 09-28-2008 at 12:29 PM.. Reason: Grammar! |

The information on the Navteq website is incomplete. I called Navteq and they mentioned that they are taking pre-orders for 2009.1 which is scheduled for release this month.
2008.1 was released in March 2008 and all the updates listed on the Navteq website are for 2008.1. |
