09 Idrive not detecting usb in glovebox

wanted to upload some music to my hdd but can't seem to get the glovebox usb port to detect my usb drive.

tired 2 different usb drives but both don't work. but they work in my armrest USB

any encounter this problem? or have an suggestion

You tried turning the car off and on again? You make sure the usb was in the right way? And since two usb sticks didnt work, I would guess that his the plug itself. Probably gonna have to take it to a dealer.

i tried it with two different usb drives both in different days both times didn't work. the usb were in the right way. guess it might be the plug... off to the dealer than.

Another test if with a usb stick that has a light. My usb stick lights up when its plugged in, so you would be able to tell if the outlet was working. Maybe you can remove the glove box and make sure everything is plugged in properly.

i'll try the usb with light thing later tonight.

i didn't know you can remove the glove box, don't know how though, is there a lever or some sort to pop it out?

I dont know. I think theres a diy for the glove box removal. Try a lighted usb or ipod or anything to see if its the usb outlet first.
