Unfortunately Southampton is a little far for me to travel for a flash. (I live in the midlands)
I can't seem to find anyone local who is able to flash the CIC for me which is a nuisance, would love to have apps installed. |

That's a shame mate, mine is only a weekend car so haven't made full use of it yet but glad I got it all installed at the same time as i would've felt something was missing otherwise

Did you change the junction box as well ?
My reason for asking is that on cars that come with the navigation installed from the factory, the junction box is slightly different. They allow for a proper shutdown of the nav unit when the car is switched off. It is the BI-STABLE relay on the back of the JBBE. If you try and code the current JBBE in your car with your 'new' vehicle order,it does give errors. Probably not an issue, but I was curious. |

Sounds like your install was not a plug n play, will you ask your installer if he wired the 4 pole and 8 pole connectors to the JBE and the JB: Power distribution box??, or did he tap into existing wiring?? Last edited by xyzed; 11-01-2016 at 06:08 AM.. |

Can high, can low and ground from CID goes to JBE, power depends of build year, goes to JBE or as car above to power junction split about 20-25 above distribution box.
From idrive controller power is connected on back of distribution box and fuse added. Ground goes to chassis, both can are tapped to CIC can network. |

Your not kidding. It is going to take me a whole month of Sunday's to absorb the information that vorph has written.
"vorph" after I digest it I'll be coming back at you, with some questions. If you don't mind!!! Question #1: does the wire gauge differ from the can hi/low, or is all the wiring the same gauge, for both connectors??? |
