For some of us, that might not be a bad problem.

Ah yes. How stupid of me. It’s the grille thing with you. Sometimes I forget, thankfully, how much that grille has psychologically affected some people. I wish I knew the head of marketing for BMW because for April fools day, I would produce an article saying they were going to change the entire fleet to that grille just to see the reaction of all those who are currently psychologically affected.

So if we don’t like what you like it’s because there’s something wrong with us?

It’s a bit ironic in that if you believe that statement it’s a good indication you have some sort of psychological issue yourself, grandiose, maybe? Narcissism
? I’m not sure.

Just live and let live. Some like red some like blue. Some can’t look back and enjoy some cars that look a certain way as much as I’m sure you wouldn’t buy a pink car or something.

I think the Model 3 is better looking also...although I like the interior of the i4 better than the minimalistic Tesla.

I love my BMW F32, but not blindly.....Give me the Model 3 Perf over the i4 M40 every day and twice on Sundays.

Ok, take the performance away, and you’re left with an overpriced shit car. Even after the latest discounts. I spend a lot of time on the road, and have NEVER seen a Tesla being driven other than sedately, so what’s the point of all the performance if the people driving them just want to plod around worrying about the range?

I know MSRP matters for cars that are listed and qualify. That website was updated 3 days ago. Model 3 Performance still wasn't included.

Jesus that BMW front end, it's SO BAD. THe TESLA needs a mesh grille (SMALL ONE!) to stop it looking androgenous.

All Teslas look nice, they are pretty shitty inside. 9-13k price cut plus $11k tax credit sure sounds good. Long Range Y will end up being $42k, M3P could possibly be $44k and I wanna buy one as a winter beater etc.
I doubt you can even buy a used one that cheap, unless it's high miles

Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, I mean Pontiac got over 100,000 people in the US to say "Yes, this is what I want"

Personally Tesla doesn't look good, but not a point I will debate on, because looks is subjective and some like it, some do not, and frankly you do you, its why we have options right.

It is the grille. I am right. You had to fire off some serious attempts at insulting me to get it out of your system, but it’s all on the table now.

Like what you want. I don’t care either way. I just find the whole thing funny. No need for you to get all emotional about it and offended. Besides, I didn’t design or approve the new grille. It’s also not my fault that some of these models are selling at high numbers. I ordered an M5. I assume you like that grille.

Seen quite a number at track days actually. You will see handful of them at Laguna Seca track days all the time.

Wow, that’s cool. I didn’t know a suspension could handle that on a Tesla.

psychologically affected? haha...

no, it's pretty much just a gag reflex ....especially with that poor 7 series.

Ok. I just disagree that it’s just a gag reflex by those who are so worked up over it. I have read so much content on this poor grille all I can do now is just laugh about it. Especially since they are all selling just fine. The people most offended or gagging as you would put it, all seem to take a change personally. Especially the G80/82.

It doesn’t really matter. Lots of options in BMW’s lineup. It’s all good.

A bone stock 2023 Model 3 Performance does 3.1 secs 0-60 and 11.5 1/4 mile

Some bolt ons and a tune are never going to get an F32 anywhere near 3.1 0-60

Bone stock Model 3 Performance cars do very well on a track as you can see in the video I posted from Top Gear as it beat the M3 in lap time, 0-60 and 1/4 mile...and that was the first gen M3P

A comparable BMW today is the M3 Comp Xdrive and almost twice the price

Not to mention but who really wants to modify their car like that to beat a stock ev? Like I never understood that. People love ice which is great because they are awesome but people just want to buy a car and immediately modify it? Wtf

Not everyone cares about doing that nor do people always do that. Yeah let me buy a 100k car and instantly void the warranty with a JB4 so I can beat a model 3 performance. Because stock vs stock in the real world a model 3 would win.

These cars are made for different purposes. Nothing will beat a fast ev on the street unless you’re spending a lot on a stock car or you modify.

Yes, but an M3 (or any M car) is infinitely better looking than any Tesla times 10. So there’s that. Also, the quality of BMW is twice as good as Tesla. So there’s that. Those two things alone justify an M3 being twice as much money as a model 3. IMHO

some would say the opposite...those are just opinions

save $50K and still beat or compete with a $100K car isn't a bad deal, not to mention saving $100-$400 a month on gas

Yes, but I was thinking of the side profile with this comparison, because the Tesla has a generic front end. The grille doesn’t bother me either way, but it’s still the number one selling M3 of all time, so obviously a whole bunch of people disagreed with you guys. This argument is silly.

Emotionally scarred. Hopefully just temporarily.
