Vrsf 7' Fmic..... Help

Easy install, but when I get on it, all I can hear is air and I have no boost. I tightened the clamps as much as I could, but the black hard plastic hose on the driver's side keeps popping off the rubber and clamp. The other side is fine, its just the connection of the hard plastic staying in the rubber / clamp. There's not a whole lot to clamp down.

Any suggestions?
Anyone do anything different besides tightening the shit out of the clamps?

You must have a leak somewhere. Check again and take pictures.

Post some pics of the hose/clamp.

Did you get the lower chargepipe upgrade with it as well?

No, what are the advantages to that?

Is it longer and fits better into the rubber where the clamp is?

On the drivers side, the hard black plastic piece has slipped out of the rubber / clamp. I really tightened the clamp, but that plastic piece doesn't go very far into the rubber / clamp. I did it alone, so thinking if I had someone pushing down on it while I tighten the clamp that may help. The amount of boost basically pops that black plastic piece out of the rubber and clamp. Only happened on drivers side

Any other suggestions?
I don't want to keeping having this piece pop out and have a boost leak

^ piece 18/19 going into the rubber sleeve connecting to the FMIC is the part in question. The clamp didn't hold the hard plastic in the rubber sleeve.

Remove the lower portion of the charge pipe on passenger side and connect to intercooler with silicon coupler, then install intercooler. Much easier. I had the same issues a few years ago.

The driver side can be done with the intercooler in place.

Pretty much yeah, I don't know how short the stock one is but I just installed a 7" vrsf IC a few weeks ago with the lower chargepipe upgrade and I had more than enough rubber hose to clamp on both sides.

It's actually part 18/19 you posted above.

I'm sure it can be done with the stock one just fine just from my experience with the install it was pretty easy.

Make sure you're setting the coupler over the complete pipe and make sure you're placing the t-bolt clamp directly after the bead on both sides. Most DIY guys who have blow off issues are placing the t-bolt on top of the bead and not directly after it

If you didn't remove the fan to install, you should. It's only 1 or 2 screws to come out, but makes getting the couplers seated correctly and clamps tightened a million times easier.

That's exactly what I was going to suggest. If the T-Bolt's can't "catch" on the bead, the pipes will blow off. These cars are very tight at the connection so you need to use extra care to make sure it's all seated. Once it is you won't have any issues

Exactly what these guys are saying. I have big hands and it was tough to get it all the way on. Took 30 min and a few knuckles skinned, etc but it'll fit.

I would order the j pipe from tiago...no reason to have any plastic pipes once your fmic and cp into the mods. Good luck!
