does old coding get deleted when you do a new one?

hi I am kind of new to coding but got some of it done on my 2009 e92 and I'm wondering will the old coding get deleted when you write a new .MAN file to the car?
For example I successfully disabled my broken adaptive headlights so I don't get the annoying notification anymore and now I want to disable some cold/hot bulb checks. When I load my TRC file on ncs dummy or coding tool I see that the stuff I set to not active when disabling adaptive headlights are now set to active again. So do I need to set everything to not active again everytime I want to code some new stuff?

You read the file from that module; edit the changes you want to make and then resave it.

If the coding is already on that module then unless you change that certain parameter; it'll stay

When you rewrite and reprogram the module it rewrites the whole module.
And only that module. If you kept a copy of the file for that module that
had the last change and then applied and additional edit to it then you would
get the old edit plus the new edit when you programmed it.
It's a good idea to keep copys of all the files changed with and appropriate note.
If you where to take the car into BMW and they did and update it would
wipe out all your programming .
Only the module you are working on is effected when you rewrite it.
