Jerking at 4-5 gear at highspeed
Hello guys I’m new to this but I have a 2007 BMW 335I had no issues before mods things done to it have been brand new turbos coldair intake, inner cooler MHD stage two oil pan cover gasket I’m having issues when going and pushing throttle at high speed it doesn’t jerk When driving at normal speed only does it when I push throttle to either get on highway or to pass a car I don’t think has anything to do with the tranny because it does the gearshift pretty good and smooth anybody have any ideas would really appreciate it thanks again

No it does everything normal shifts it’s just once in a while it does it when I really push the throttle down to get on the highway or to pass a vehicle in front. It will jerk for a second and if I let go of the throttle and then go back to normal

Sounds like its hesitating when under load. Your ignition system has to work much harder when you're hitting higher boost targets so that is usually when failing spark plugs or ignition coils start to cause issues. Have the ignition coils been replaced? spark plugs?

I know this is a dated thread, but I had the same issue and found a resolution. Hopefully this will be valuable to someone in the future. My 2011 E92 (n55) would do the same when applying moderate throttle. The jerking and loss of power was alarming when it would happen. I suspected the transmission and replaced the gaskets and solenoids (messy job). No dice. Only a month ago when I replaced my leaky valve cover was the issue resolved. I guess the PCV that's built into the cover was really bad. Anyway, that was the fix for me...

What does the issue feel like? A weird lurch forward as if there is a massive misfire? I've been chasing a similar issue for months. Gone through a valve cover, injectors, HPFP, you name it I may have done it. Recently I have gotten o2 codes for slow response on the pre-cat. Might be worth taking a look at that. I'd also try removing the tune, resorting to stock, and seeing if the issue replicates. I've been running stock tune for a few months, though not as consistent it's still a present issue for me.
