See, this does not make much sense to me at all. City of Chicago budget was $640Mil into the red as of March this year. The real figure is probably close to $1Bil. ...and they want to put speeders in jail which cost more money to taxpayers and further increase the costs rather than increase the fines? I am having hard time comprehending the logic behind that.

I say: increase the speeding tickets for reckless driving (30mph over speed limit) to $5K for first offence, $7.5K for second offense, $10K + 6 month driver's license suspension for 3-rd offense. This way, money will be generated so that perhaps we can have better roads and people would not attempt reckless driving if it will directly affect their pocket.

I don't know but it sounds like things are ass-backwards...

its not a revenue based law as much as it is a safety based law....remember the law was passed by the state (also in financial trouble), not the city.

The key to financial solvency for either entity does not lie in ticket and punitive revenues as much as proactive approaches to attract business.

Fuckin comcast is pissing me off. Im supposedly paying for a 12 mbps dl and 2 mbps upload which to the best of my knowledge is enough to have streaming Netflix. But halfway through my goddamn movie it gets choppy and has to buffer every 2 seconds. Not the greatest when it comes to routers/modem but my current one is a Motorola SBG900 SURFboard which again to my knowledge good enough to get the job down. Anyone has some info for me on what I can do short of paying $10 more a month for the 18mbps dl and 3 Mbps upload plan? My p's place had uverse (not in this area yet) 12down/1.5 up and that was more than enough for the Netflix. Also how accurate are the "test your speed"'Internet based websites at detecting the actually upload/download?
