E84's rear strut for E90?

Hi guys
I am new to this group.
Wanted to know whether the old x1’s (E84) rear struts can be fitted on E90 320d?
I am looking to enhance comfort.
Thinking that x1’s rear struts might have more travel and if fitted on e90, the ride may get smoother enough.
Please help me if anyone have any idea on doing this.
Thanks

i THINK an E84 X1 strut on a E90 chassis has less travel because the strut will be longer, thus more compressed. you will be better off with an rough road package or smaller diameter rims.

I don't think so. Dinan rear mounts will give you more travel or you could switch to Z4 bump stops. Koni yellows or new OE shocks ride very well, probably about as good as you;re going to get on this platform. Especially if you run 17" wheels

And if you're cheap like me, you can cut 10mm off the Monroe 907984 to mimic the Dinan rear mounts.
