Actually in the hunt so you might see an Alpine White E90 for sale soon:

• Somewhat looking at a used S6
• A 2011 Alpine White on Black E90, mtech, nav, xi (my car with a few more goodies)
• Going to test drive the new X3 35i tomorrow
• Maybe a used ML
• Or possibly a used Q7
• Last but nost least a S4 is still on the list

Nick, check off Q7. It is a friggin heavy vehicle. you sure you need that space, specially when you have a 5 wagon? Plus you'd die paying for gas, LOL. Perhaps the ML should go too for the same reason, but I might prefer it'S looks more than the Q7,

The other choices, including the X3 are ok I am intrigued with the S6, which engine is that Bi-turbo V6 or a V10? Sorry, haven't been following Audi's S cars. I know the S5 had V8, then supercharged V6.

Anyhoo, these are the best times, when you have the dough secured, all you need is to find the right car.

Edit: Can I propose you get the C63 (perhaps it'S now the C65)? This my friend will knock my socks off!

Hey Ken,

The Q7 would make it only in the S line trim as the rest looks awful!

ML is still a strong contender.

The C63 is not on the list as driving it in the winter would be more of a challenge compared to my current car!

I did forget one on the list though an E90 M3 of course!!!

And BTW the S6 is the V10 version and the rumble of that 425hp motor is worth the money alone!!!

Vdub unveiled the 2012 Passat, nice new look, bigger etc, (mine barely fits the garage BTW - big enough as it is, if you ask me) but engine choices no longer include the exquisite 2.0 TFSI, Oh and built in the USA.

Yeah I was just going to post Nick - half of the cars on your list aren't trackable ... And the S6 - yes its 426hp, but do you really want to track a cathedral? It probably weighs double of your 335 which can be made to have close to 426. And if you think the C63 is a challenge to drive - well, so is the M3, they are comparatively not THAT far off from each other.

Used RS4? Or used CTS-V coupe?

It doesn't need to be a track car. Otherwise most of the cars listed wouldn't be there. As for the M3 vs. C63, the hp and tq numbers of the C63 is what makes that car more difficult to drive. The major difference between the M3 vs. the 335i is the limited slip in the M3 and the /-100 lbs/ft difference which in turn would make the M3 a much easier car to drive.

As I said going to test drive the X3 today as I'm kicking off my car shopping season early in 2011 lol!!!

As for the used RS4 unless I give up one of my children it isn't going to happen as space is worse vs the E90. Cadillac just not ready to go there!

63 amg are not that bad in the winter
we r running a cls63 amg in the winter...on 19s.

Wait wait wait, are you saying the RS4 has LESS space than a 335i? Wtf? It's still a 4 door saloon....... admittedly I've never looked at the interior volume specs (I own a Mini, which clearly speaks to my priorities vis-a-vis rear seating and luggage *******, but still.
