Any issues with rubbing when taking on 1-2 adult passengers in the back? Gary @ TIRERACK says using 225/45/18 at the front alone will result to rubbing. Could you confirm or comment to that? Cheers!

Quick links to proof it works:

If it did rub, i would never have gotten permission to keep them in Germany. Such changes need approval of a certified expert here.

The only E90POST member to have ran them successfully:
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=142543

NOTE: There may be more who have ran this tyre size set up with success but failed to chime in about it.
I ran 225/45/18 square setup - no rubbing (pre lci). Lowered quite a lot...
Was really happy with that.

I have an opportunity to buy some tires with a taller profile. I really don't care about the look of a tire with more rubber quite honestly. The diameters front and rear are basically the same...

If it's a sporty summer tire, will the taller sidewall really affect handling much. Other than that, my only other concern would be the taller tire fitting into the wheel well but am guessing a small increase in profit won't hurt...

Lemme know what you think.
so these tire sizes can fit on these rims?

Front probably is fine, but rear most likely rubs, because the rear wheel is more out than stock setup which these guys are talking. So you have to do fender modifications. Also i doubt nobody has used the setup above with 225/45/18 and 255/40/18, basically it means that if you want to use the setup then you have buy it and be the "first" to try it out and then tell others how it worked.

Tyres will fit fine to the wheels, but no 100% sure answer about the fitting them at the car without issues or modifications.

Yes that would be better and you could use Michelin PSS, since those are fatter tyres. This one has those sizes, but rear wheel is 10 inch wide. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=914633

You can easily get away with it from a fitment standpoint however you also need to realize that your speedo will no longer read your true speed and you will also be raising your cars overall gearing (higher top speed, slower acceleration)

255/40/18 should work fine and have all the benefits mentioned by meyerguru. Did you try it out?

255/40/19 all around? I want some of what you are smoking.

You can fit 235/40/19 in the front and 255/35/19 in the rear but et 25 is very aggressive.

Hello can you guys help me. I have a 2011 e92 m sport.

My current setup is 18x8 235/40/18 front with 15mm spacers. My rear is 18x8.5 265/35/18 with 20mm spacers. Rear fenders was rolled to create clearance.

New wheels. Front 18x8 et 38 and rear 18x9 et 35. Should I keep it the same 235/265 or go with 225/40/18 and 255/35/18 stock size or what combination tires should I do?

Thank you
