Techron Fuel Injector

I have never used this on my 07 335i e90 before as I was told that these fuel injector cleaners are not good for cars with HPFP. But looks like lot of people on this forum are using it so just wanted to confirm if attached link product is what you normally use. Also do I need to put 12oz or 20oz bottle?

LOL you better put your glasses on. Costo is selling 6-packs for like $38 and that's the 12 ounce bottles.

+1 That being said its about the only one that actually works. BMW rebrands it as their in-house cleaner.

They had a sale on where I was at last week. I wanted to jump on it, but I didn't want to weigh my car down with more shit since I was moving to SoCal and have enough crap inside.

LOL, I don't notice much of a price difference between the BMW labeled bottle and the Chevron one, I get the benefit of a military discount at the Auto Zone and I think they still have a 2-for-1 promo going on.

I had a problem with my plugs after I ran this through the system. I wouldn't use it personally.

When do you recommend pouring it in the tank? And does it affect the non turbo engine? And where,
and what does it cost? One more thing, what size bottle? Thanks.

Get the 20oz bottle use it every 5k miles or so. Pour it in on right before you fill up your tank. It cleans the fuel injectors; doesn't matter if your car is turbo or NA.

I ve used it several times and apparently works since I notice my car's idle is smoother when used. I try to pour a bottle every 3 months or so.

There is 2 kinds that I always see on the auto parts store which are the Fuel Injector cleaner and the Fuel system cleaner. Not sure how they impact on our engines though...

I pay about 6 dlls per small bottle.

In regards to the 2-1 promo, is no longer avaialable in my local auto stores...

You can get it at ANY auto parts store. Walmart has it too. Price for a 20oz bottle ranges between like $12-$15.

Or just click on the link in this thread and order it from Amazon for $12.00

Probably not unless your injectors are seriously gunked up from getting cheap gas. This is more or less are preventative measure.

Every Costco I've been in around here sells the "watered down" version -- Chevron Pro Guard with Techron. However, you can order the good stuff, Chevron Techron Concentrate, from them online.

A question regarding this. I almost always fill up with Chevron 91 (which supposedly contains Techron). Is that enough for my injectors? Or should I buy a bottle anyways?

I'm starting to notice rough idling. 34k miles, though all the injectors were changed at 32k miles at the dealership, and spark plugs 1,4,5 were changed at the same time.

Thanks in advance.

I can't believe how long this snake oil has been for sale. Now, with so many vehicles having DI, people still pour this stuff in their tanks. Reminds me of that ingenious campaign by Arm and Hammer. They told you to pour their product down the drain, and go and get some more. If it didn't harm the environment, this junk should be poured down the drain too.
