Angel Eye Issue

I installed a new pair of angel eyes from a local supplier and seem to be good quality. My issue is that when the low beams arent on the angel eyes work fine (most of the time). When low beams are turned on the error goes on for angel eyes not working then they shut off after a minute. I have error code eliminators installed afterwards and same deal. Put another set of them in and same deal as well. Car is already coded to have the angel eyes on all the time.

Any insight?

Car is a 01/07 E92 335i Sport

I am assuming that when you write "Car is a 01/07 E92 335i Sport"
that your Car's Production Month and Year is Jan 2007....right?

If so, you have a FRM1 Module and there for, your AE only should be on when your Light switch is on in any position other than OFF and Auto (depending on day or night)

I can't speak for the AE Bulb's you bought.
But your need a DAEOS Harness to get your AE to work as DRL so they are ON, all the time.
PS, my car has a FRM1 Module also.

Yes my car is a January 2007 production date so early style. So where would this harness be and how much would it cost?

Also my angel eyes come on when key is in off position as well from what I remember because they operate as DRL from coding

It would be helpful to know what brand of angel eye you installed in the car first. to DarkNemesis's point, the FRM1 footwell module is known to have issues with certain angel eyes

Oh those are the AngelHue Brand, which are sold by another vendor on this forum as well. Unfortunately i have no experience with them so i can't assist in this. I would recommend returning them.

Our currently LUX H8 V4's are not compatible with the early build 07 coupes but we have an update coming out soon that will resolve this.

This is where I got it from:
http://www.distantxtremes.com/daeos-...y-harness.html
cost 39.99

Follow this Guide to Install on this site.
Also I believe this is is the Video on how to Install

very happy with them.

So how did they code AE if you can not code on FRM 1 for lights at least?

And LUX, one day I will try your lights. Just not that rich at the moment.

So is there any option out there for me at all from your company other than v4's? I hate the piss yellow lights. Don't mind paying for quality products or to use my car for testing lol idc I just dont want those ugly ass bulbs.

I tried putting HID's in today and they would stay on for a bit then cut off, if turning on low beams the hids start to flicker. I am losing my mind trying to figure this out

I also had problem too. Ran LED/HID/and H8 bulbs.
Had 3 different HID balast sets(I thought balast was bad when it cutoff/flickers).
You have to code or hook up 12v relay. HID is super bright and not recommended by many people due to heat.

i am coded for the angel eyes to stay on as DRL's. Is there another code for this?
Also how did you run 12v relay?

If you do end up going with HID Bulbs be careful with them. They have a bad history of burning up the inside of the headlights and turning them yellow

Have you tried to put a stock bulb back in to see what happens?
