FS BRAND NEW AR Design n54 Catted Downpipes (w/ Black Ceramic Coating)
I have a set of brand new (never installed) AR Design 3" catted downpipes with ceramic coating for n54 for sale. This also includes the gaskets and hardware. Price is $750 shipped (within continental US) obo Here's the web description: Our Hi-Flo™ 3" Catless Downpipes Feature: The only TRUE 3" catless downpipes currently on the market! 3" tubing until cat-back flange - all systems currently on the market reduce to 2.5" much closer to the turbocharger. Typical gains with tuning in the 30bhp range! 100% hand crafted in the USA from premium 304 Stainless Steel - flanges and O2 bungs included! Water-jet cut 304 Stainless cat-back flanges, and CNC'd 304 Stainless V-Band flanges. 100% TIG welded, argon back-purged. Set of our exclusive bomb-proof exhaust gaskets included. Grade 10.9 Metric Hardware (145,000PSI tensile strength, C32-C39 Rockwell, Zinc Plated), and Nord-Lock positive locking re-usable washers included. Factory location O2 bungs Available with a 2000°F ceramic coating. Coatings come with a 3 year warranty against corrosion and rust to original owner. Lifetime warranty against any manufacturing defects given to original owner. We do NOT grind/polish our welds as some other manufacturers do. Grinding welds compromises the strength of the weld, and can lead to weld failure! Especially critical in applications exposed to temperatures in excess of 1200°F. Such temperatures will also rapidly deteriorate the polished finish. Last edited by mytx; 05-16-2018 at 06:36 PM.. |

It's great that AR offers a lifetime warranty, or 3 year warranty for the ceramic coating, but it's only good for the original owner. I've been trying to decide between a pair of these or the catless.
The catted pipes might have less exhaust odor, but they are significantly more expensive, still not street legal and don't unlock horsepower the way catless do. Tough call, curious why you're selling them. |

Indeed, it's a tough call. What made the decision easier for me was the fact that my indy would only install catted downpipes due to emissions regulations here in TX. Apparently you can still pass emissions with these in my state, however I'm not sure about elsewhere. I'm selling these because I had to sell my car due to layoffs at my company. I just never got around to installing these before selling the car, but my loss is your gain if you decide to go catted! Let me know! |

Let me know if you lower the price, or what your best price is. I recently bought a pair of catless VRSF, but haven't installed them yet. I feel like my wife will trip out on the smell, but she will probably get used to it.
