^ They do also have pink...

Matte Dark Grey looks a lot like the "frozen" M3's and M5's coming out of the dealership. If anyone wants that finish and doesnt wanna pay the BMW price we can do it for you!!!

Spring or sooner, doing some minor mods in the next two weeks... Would you mind doing the chrome trim, I don't know how cost effective or difficult it would be for you guys...

Helix is proud to announce an introductory offer for walnut shell cleaning of your intake ports and valves. As you have probably read, this is a major issue for DI cars which robs the cars of smoothness, power and idle stability after as little as 30k miles. The dealers offer this service for $7-800. We are currently offering the service for $499.

Here's a N54 with 50k before:

And after:

NICE! I will schedule immediately. I have seen other pictures of the valves at 50,000 miles and I have a feeling mine are in the same shape.

The prices do seem to vary a little bit for this, but the guys down at Helix are meticulous in everything else they do so I definitely trust them with a labor-intensive job like this. I have already scheduled my appointment and I will update how it goes.

I am most certainly no expert in this process, but from what I have seen it may be tough to do this in 4 hours. I have seen some videos and photo documentation of the process and it seems to be a bit like dentistry. You really have to work the wand around to pinpoint every crevass and surface of each valve port, rather than just hooking up the connector and pressing the "blast" button. And while it would be great if you could just drive in and hook the machine right up, a good chunk of the labor has to be digging down to get access to the intake ports themselves. You have to remove the MAF, cowl, engine cover, the entire intake, about 5-600 sensors, vacuum lines, and a sizeable collection of clips and harnesses before you can even get the manifold off to finally access the ports.

for people who havent done this i could understand 2 hours for r&r of the intake manifold, in reality its an hour job to take off the manifold and put it back on, leaving 3 hours of labor which means they would be cleaning each port for about 30 mins each (find that to be very generous)s

either way its still cheaper than vac and the more people that start demanding this service the cheaper every place will start offering it
