Does BMW even allow non-family cosigners? If they don't, it would seem pointless to keel this thread going.

Seriously OP you didn't put much thought into this before posting did you? I can understand you are eager for a high end luxury car but you need to be within reason. If you cannot afford it, then you shouldn't be buying/leasing it.

If you don't have any close friends or family to help you co-sign you are SOL. No one in their right mind would risk their credit for you. Even if you offered 5K, its still not enough.

some of you guys are dumb just because he needs someone to co-sing it doesn't mean he doesn't have the money for it. Although asking some random person to co-sing for you is pretty dumb. I had to have my dad co sing for me because i don't have the credit history to get a loan, but I had enough money to buy the car straight up. I didn't buy because i wanted to build the credit so next time i don't need my dad to co-sing for me. remember some of you guys are in your late 30s-40s while some of us are in our 20's

agreed. some off us are working professionals and some of us get gifted bmw's by our parents while others just get lucky. granted that is not my case, i am in my 20's and with four cars under me, but because i was fresh out of college, i DID need my father to co-sign for my first loan and i never regret it, it helped build my credit history in the long-term and i would do the same for my child. With current rates and offers, it makes more sense to lease or finance a car.

I remember financing my '03 G35 brand new with no money down at 2.9% when I was 24 years old. Maybe credit standards are tighter these days?

yeah there not giving out car loans or mortgages like they use to. banks want people with a good long history of purchasing big ticket items without any defaults. Back in 03 they were giving money out like college girls giving out STDs lol

yes, for a fact bmw financial services are much stricter now, however the going rates are awesome, especially if you go CPO.

don't want to jack your thread. but i have a question, i failed to pay the ups broakage fee of a product i ordered in november 2011. i received some calls from ups, but i thought they were scams so never paid attention to them. In january, i received a letter from a collection agency asking for the money i owe ups, i ended paying the fees in january. will my credit score be affected for that ?
thanks in advance
