ATM Intake Install
I'm trying to install the ATM intake and it's incredibly frustrating. I read that it's a tight fit but Jesus Christ. I can BARELY get the bottom mounting hole over ONE thread of the bolt/stud if I press down with two hands. It seems the only thing in the way is the flex tube/pipe that comes from the turbo and I can't get it to compress enough to reach the stud. I've made sure there isn't anything getting in the way such as the main wiring harness. Somehow I'm supposed to get the nut on that bolt with a third arm and hand. I'm following AArod's YouTube tutorial with the filter already installed to the filter housing and I have absolutely no idea how he did it so easily. I hope I'm doing something wrong because I'm getting to the point where I might try to return this. Even if I get this installed removing it for any kind of maintenance to the engine is going to be a nightmare. The stock airbox was just easy to work with. Anyone have any tips?

Ok, so I was able to get it installed by installing the housing with the bottom bolt loose per ATM's instructions and then angrily cranking the housing to the right to fit the filter on. All is well now. The real problem is that damn stock air filter mount/bracket. Wish I could unbolt it.

Cut the bracket off, you don't need it. First thing I did. Also, that's not installed correctly. The MAF should be flush against the airbox assembly.

Mine is flush. I'll see if I can grab a pic.

It doesn’t have to be flush.
It’s going in on an angle on mine and that’s why the rubber is there to seal it. I can see on your pictures it’s not installed 100% correctly but I guess it works this way. First I also installed it with the EOM bracket against the filter but recently I gave it a few slams with the hammer since I probably won’t ever use that again.. if yes I can always pull it out again. EDIT: on your last photo it does look installed right but you should be able to get the bolt on.
