You won't be disappointed with the BC's and PE mate. Regarding the valve, I actually have it on as I find it too loud when off.

Is it louder only on cold starts with the valve off, or in general also? |

The BC's aren't bad, I've got them on my car, although they are no where as comfortable as the stock suspension, even on the softest setting |

Did you find it improved handling a lot though? Are you going to the dyno day next month? |

To be honest, no not really... but that's just me because I don't go hard on corners and haven't hit the windy roads yet. And yea, the car definitely feels bumpier and those pillow ball mounts does NOT absorb the impact from hitting pot holes.. went over one today and damn the vibration went all the through to my spine. LOL
Probably not, but I am going to drop my car off at Advan to get it serviced and also to get my m3 control arms installed |

Ahh so you're more of a latte sipping type of bmw owner hey Jeff :P TBH my car rarely gets driven hard though! I need to organise another putty rd run, the twisties near the newcastle end are billiard table smooth, extremely tight and windy, and its fantastic listening to the turbos spooling and cracking gate echoing off the mountain walls! |

Haha ok maybe it's because my expectation of the coils far exceeded the actual experience, because I had BCs on my lexus is200 and the change was far more significant compared the 335i |

S3XAY!!! M3 cluster is a beaut!
Must check it out @ dyno day! BTW, does the redline end at 335i redline and not M3 redline when warmed up? |

Mate I didn't want to spread misinformation and wanted to answer this until I had it installed. There is a lot of misinformation out there stating that the tacho wont work as the v8 has different pulsation, if your car has less kms then the cluster it wont read correctly, and others stated that you have to have a new cluster a used unit wont work.
I was thinking logically that all of this data is received and transmitted via the dme, so shouldn't the cluster just be displaying the information it receives... Well I bought a used cluster from a 08 m3 with 85000 kms and it was pnp with no coding and the tacho works fine, the oil temp fuel gauge all work fine and most importantly the kms read as per normal. One thing is you do lose all your servicing schedule requirements (As thats one thing which is programmed via the cluster) The only issue I have is it has a cruise control error popping up on startup (displays on idrive also) perhaps this can be coded out? *Update: Actually I think the gauge is for the 335i redline, after looking at the m3 gauge in action the amber marker sits at 8k rpm: Having said that when the needle hits the 1st marker at 7k rpm its time to upshift, so much of a muchness really Last edited by DR-JEKL; 06-23-2013 at 07:29 AM.. |
