yah man..i dun plan to stay here in the future either..but gonna try get CA first..so when i go bak to hk/china and get my CPA it will be easier for me to get a higher position with more pay..especially with the experience we gained here..

That's true. But accounting in Asia and Canada are so different haha. You gonna try and get in one of the big 4s?

yah doing the recruit in fall.. got alot of coop and volunteer experience and decent GPA..so i HOPE i can get into a big 4..if not any other CA firm is gd..all i want is the designation in 2 yrs haha

There's coop for accounting? Doesn't seem like there was any @ ubc. Where did u do ur coop at?

last yr i did AR/AP in a realty firm..this yr im auditor at CRA..big 4 also comes during fall to recruit coop students to work during summer.. aside from everything that UBC is better than SFU at..i believe we do hv a better coop program for accounting..altho we can forget abt any i-bank jobs cuz only ubc students hv any chance at that lol

yeah, i-bank jobs are really hard to get here since its like 100-200 people battling for one job

I'd say its more likely your car will be ready on Thursday. Wednesday might be a bit tough depending on what time the car arrives. Being too optimistic leads to disappointment man...I was so pissed when they told me I wouldn't be able to receive my car becuz of tire problems........sigh.....but nonetheless, T minus 5 hours

just wonderin.. what things are you gonna look for before you take delivery? (aside from the gifts and stuff).. maybe inspect if there are any scratches? i know theres a thread stating all the things you should check for.. but it will take forever to complete and i just wanna drive off with my new car.. but what few important things are u gonna check before u drive off?

my SA just called me today, he says I can pick up my car tom at 12

YEHEY!!
And he also says he has to drill the front plate, cause its government law and shit.. O well..

I will definitely have a hard time paying attention in class tom :P

Good question. I don't have an answer for that. But I'll walk around and take some pics/inspect the car a bit first. But typically nothing "should" go wrong. Any suggestions what I should pay attention to in particular?
